How to Spot a Jap is a very un-politically correct comic strip book
produced by the US War Department in 1942 as a
guide for identifying
Japs
. It was included in the "Pocket Guide to China," distributed to Army
and Navy personnel assigned to
China in WW2. This e-book is a
historically unique example of how physical 'profiling' to enable
identifying
Japs
was, for a brief period of WW2, considered a security tool, not a
'politically correct' sin. The comic strip style conveyed important
identification tips, making the information easily understood. No doubt, the
tips contained in this
comic strip book helped to save US lives, by giving
the average US soldier some guidelines in
identifying Japs (the enemy)
amongst
WW2 Chinese (the allies).
QuikManeuvers.com thinks such documents are useful as an example for
modern warriors, even if current western
politically correct governments
would never dream of issuing such a
comic strip guide today.
